Susan Stewart, Abermed's global medical training provision development consultant

Abermed are pleased to announce the appointment of a consultant to support the development of our worldwide medical training arm.

Susan Stewart is working with Abermed to help achieve our vision of becoming the number one training provider in the field, expanding our existing comprehensive range of medical-based courses.

The development of training is a key priority for Abermed, particularly in the Middle East, North Africa, Asia and the UK, where many of our oil and gas clients have bases.

Another target region is Kazakhstan, where Abermed owns a majority share in medical care company Kazanada, which provides private pre-hospital medical services and clinics.

Susan was most recently with AMEC as HR Director, Europe and West Africa, before taking a career break, which was spent travelling extensively throughout Europe, Oman and Singapore.

She is delighted to be working with Abermed.

“Abermed is a company with clearly defined vision and values which create an exciting opportunity and challenge,” said Susan. “I will be working with the team to realise Abermed’s goal of becoming the top training provider globally in this field, and will be looking for additional partners to support delivery.”

Abermed‘s focus is on developing a business strategy and then building up a team to set up courses in key locations, offering a wide range of training in areas including first aid, rig medics and pre-hospital emergency care.

“Our existing courses cover areas such as first aid, the use of defibrillators, occupational health surveillance and offshore medic training and have been developed by highly skilled medical personnel, who are recognised for their qualifications, knowledge and experience as well as their individual skills in specialist areas of industry.

“However, our plans for international growth mean enhanced training is a key priority for us, enabling us to provide an even more comprehensive service to our clients in all sectors.”
