Abermed appoints commercial director
Tuesday, 28 March 2006 00:00

Abermed, the Aberdeen based provider of occupational medicine services worldwide, has strengthened its management team with the appointment of a commercial director.

Donald MacKenzie joins Abermed having spent the last 19 years in the oil & gas and shipping industries and will be responsible for managing the company’s new developments both in the North Sea and in West Africa.

A chartered accountant, Donald has held senior finance and international HR positions and has formed part of the management team for previous employers.

“We welcome Donald on board,” commented Abermed’s Managing Director, James Miller. “He has a wealth of experience across a broad business spectrum which meets our needs as a developing organisation.”

Donald will be based at Abermed’s new headquarters at Foresterhill, Aberdeen, but will be involved throughout the Abermed Group, particularly in Great Yarmouth where the training and provision of rig medics is an expanding area of the business.

Donald joins the existing executive board which comprises James Miller, Ross Haworth, Dr Elizabeth Wright, Dr Alison Carroll and Dr Euan Thompson.
