About us

Abermed - your health is our occupation

Investment in wellbeing pays

Our corporate purpose is: “To protect, maintain and improve the physical, psychological and social well being of people.”

Our years of experience have given us a comprehensive understanding of the medical and health issues which are unique to each sector, as well as the different environments and commercial parameters within which they operate.

We particularly specialise in the global oil and gas sector and are fully equipped to provide both topside and diving medical emergency services, offering a 24/7 emergency cover service with specialist doctors.

In November 2009 Abermed joined forces with International SOS, the world’s leading international healthcare, medical assistance and security services company. Abermed and International SOS share the same objectives and the partnership places both organisations in a stronger position to drive and deliver an enhanced range of services across the globe.

As an organisation we are passionate about our work and the difference we can make to people’s health. Above all we work to a set of values that remain constant:

  • Respect for all.
  • Honesty, integrity and complete openness.
  • Value learning, creativity and personal development.
  • Trust, care for and protect one another.
  • Continually evolve, improve and perfect all that we do.
